Hong Kong | Day 1
We arrived in Hong Kong early in the morning on a Cathay Pacific flight. After landing, we picked up a couple of Octopus cards at the airport, which turned out to be a super convenient way to get around the city.
With our Octopus cards in hand, we hopped on the MTR and headed for Tsim Sha Tsui. Once checked into the hotel, we took a moment to settle in and relax before heading out for lunch.
For lunch, we decided to try Waso Cafe. They had a diverse menu, and I went for the pork steak polo bun. It was an interesting combination—definitely worth trying.
After eating, we took a walk to Kowloon Park. The greenery offered a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city, and we were surprised to come across flamingos among the park’s attractions. A peaceful spot to unwind.
Next, we stopped by Bakehouse, a local patisserie known for its pastries. We couldn’t resist trying a few, and the Portuguese egg tarts were especially delicious.
On the way back to the hotel, we grabbed a few groceries and took a brief rest before heading out again in the evening.
As night fell, we made our way to the Avenue of Stars. The view of Victoria Harbour at night, with the city lights reflecting on the water, was stunning.
Along the walk, there were handprints of famous stars, and at the end, we found the iconic Bruce Lee statue.
Just as we was about to head back, a laser light show started along the waterfront. The lights and music lit up the harbour, adding a perfect finishing touch to a full day of exploring.
